Friday morning Chelsea from Jay Towers In The Morning headed out to Harper Woods to present Mrs. Bolohan with Dunkin' Donuts treats for the whole teaching staff and give Mrs. Bolohan her official "Jay Towers In The Morning Teacher of The Week" award!
Check out some excerpts from a letter we recieved about Mrs. Bolohan:
"Mrs Bolohan is an amazing teacher. Please let me start by saying my son, Nicholas, was not very happy about going to first grade. He was convinced he was staying in kindergarten because first grade meant too much homework and no nap time. Nicholas also said that he would not be going to first grade because he did not sign up for it. That being said, we went to our first day of school. Nicholas came home and said he loved first grade. Mrs Bolohan made the entire class cloth bags to bring home books everyday to read, and encourages them to take a book wherever they go... She is very passionate about education. I could not be happier that he received her as a teacher, and she deserves to be recognized for her hard work."
Congrats, Mrs. Bolohan! Enjoy your Dunkin' Donuts and your award from Woods Tropihies in St. Claire Shores!

Here are Jay’s Top 5:
1. Peter knows how to make coffee and his family really adores his skills.

5. Forget the Iphone and webcam…this was a great way to catch Santa!

This is in an effort to save the brand after controversial comments by the CEO saying the company's clothes were made for "cool" and "attractive" kids, not "fat" people.

Mrs. Alleman has been a great assest to learning institutions around South Lyon for quite a few years! Our own Chelsea had Mrs. Alleman for 5th grade!

Here are some excerpts from the wonderful entries we recieved for Mrs. Alleman:
Laura G.- Mrs. Alleman is the sweetest, most caring teacher. She teaches the curriculum in fun and engaging ways. She is patient and calm with her second graders. She is one of the best teachers my children have ever had. They both loved her and appreciated her kindness. My son says that second grade was his best year ever because of Mrs. Alleman.
Michelle L.- Mrs. Alleman is a second grade teacher at a school with exceptional students including some with special needs. Mrs. Alleman not only treats Emily with the same respect and love that she does all her students, she goes above and beyond to push Emily to be all she can be and teaches Emily and her peers that she can do what they do just a bit differently. Mrs. Alleman is truly a blessing to Emily and our family and so deserves to be your teacher of the week!
We stopped by on Friday and hooked Mrs. Alleman and her fellow teachers up with Dunkin' Donuts treats and coffee! Thanks to Woods Trophies for the sweet plaque!
