Meet Erin!
She's a very happy 10-year-old girl who was born with a rare form of ectodermal dysplasia, called Ankyloblepharon Ectodermal Dysplasia Clefting Syndrome. She was born with severe skin erosions covering 70 percent of her body.
Because of this diagnosis it has caused many other medical complications including: continued skin erosions and fragility, corneal ulcers, low vision and other eye conditions, hearing loss, alopecia, recurring infections, over 17 surgeries, intestinal adhesions, anemia, dental and oral issues (she will only have 1 adult tooth and will need intensive oral surgeries), neuropathy, a hole in her heart, and other diagnoses.
Despite all that she has been through, Erin loves life and is a very happy kiddo who loves to sing, dance, do art and science, and swim. She loves playing with her younger brothers and enjoys spending time with family!
She's going to LOVE Disney World with Jay's Juniors thanks to Kroger, Planet Fitness, Canterbury Village, Masco, Hollywood Casino at Greektown, Emagine Entertainment, Absopure, DFCU Financial and Angels of Hope.
