Watch Kesha Talk About Being 'Totally Sober' And Seeing UFOs

Let it be known: Kesha's cover art for her new album, Rainbow, features flying saucers because the pop star has experienced a UFO sighting.

After Thursday's release of her power ballad "Praying" which is sitting comfortably at the No. 8 spot on iTunes, the pop star sat down with the "Zach Sang Show," where spoke about the inspiration behind an album cut called "Spaceships" and detailed her own UFO experience. "I was in Joshua Tree, totally sober, let me preface -- completely f**king sober ... I think people would be like, 'She was on acid' or something. I wasn't. I was on nothing. I was a totally sober Sally, just a lady in the desert," Kesha recalled. "I look up in the sky and there's a bunch of spaceships."

"I swear to God, there were like five to seven, and I don't know why I didn't like try to take a picture of it -- I just looked at it," she continued. "I was sitting on a rock, and I was like, 'What in the hell is that?' I was trying to figure it out, and then they went away. And then they came back."

Once they returned, it all clicked for Kesha, who described the structures as "little balls of fire in the sky." "I was like, 'Those are f**king aliens.' They were spaceships!" she added. It appears as if Kesha's sighting could have happened just a few months ago. After all, she did take to Instagram in May to share a telling post. "ufos are real. i have seen them. not playing," she captioned the photo.
